The evolution in the guard tour sector

The reader in the size of a small pocket torch (133mm L x 39mm H x 30mm) combines compact size and low weight (only 150 g) with excellent sturdiness and unique ergonomics.

Built in self-extinguishing ABS, it is based on the latest RFID technology and reads handy proximity tags that can be built into anti-theft safety boxes or that can be installed between glass pans/panels in any material.

Before being launched on the market, the various components, and afterwards, the finished product, are subjected to a series of resistance tests aimed at stresses, reproducing accidental or intentional collisions, water, low and high temperatures (it can function with temperatures from – 15 °C up to + 60 °C).

After passing the different test levels, a unique and practically indestructible product is obtained. COGARD 3000 PLUS is a simle reader to use, yet at the same time modern and complete in terms of features.

COGARD 3000 PLUS works always and under any conditions since it is equipped with a memory of 30,000 events and a lithium battery that ensures a two-year operation without having to be recharged.

This allows for a more streamlined system with no need to purchase many recharge units and to charge the reader periodically. A few days before the battery runs down completely, the reader warns the operator through an acoustic/luminous signal so as to allow the person in charge to replace the battery using the special key.

Data is transferred onto a PC through a reading base connected to the USB port (requires no additional power supply) that allows safe and fast acquisition of the records (30 records per second).

A crucial feature is the data download base preset for Ethernet and telephone connection in order to satisfy the needs of all companies, especially, where a reliable and safe control is required for remote facilities scattered throughout the territory.

The guard tour control system based on the COGARD 3000 PLUS portable reader is completed with the CDAE (Cogard Data Administration Excel) software, which is based on an SQL database and is unique in terms of versatility.

Fully compatible with Windows operating systems, it can function in the client/server mode. All archives, data and reports created with the programme can be exported to an Excel spreadsheets so that they can be redefined and reorganized according to the specific needs of each customer.
